Courtyard & sun terrace
Marrakech enjoys over 300 days of sunshine throughout the year, and even in the winter months, you can enjoy the warmth of the sun and eat and drink outside. Dar Azure is a comfortable base from which to explore the sights, souks and delights of Marrakech, as well as a calm space where you can relax, unwind and recharge your batteries.
The courtyard
For most of the year, you will be able to take your breakfast in the courtyard, where Khadija, our maid, serves a delicious meal of croissants, Moroccan pancakes, jams, yoghurt, fresh orange juice, tea or coffee.
This is also the perfect place to enjoy an early evening drink, before you set off to dine at one of Marrakech’s many diverse restaurants. And if you prefer to eat locally, then there is a choice of three excellent restaurants, all within a 5-10 minute walk from Dar Azure.
Alternatively, you can choose to eat in and enjoy a cosy evening meal of homemade Moroccan dishes; a selection of typical salads for starters, followed by a tasty tajine or a delicious couscous.
Our rooftop terrace
Relax with your friends or family on our sun-filled roof terrace and enjoy a glass of wine under the shade of the pergola, or relax on one of our sun beds and soak up the sun.
Bedrooms
Our spacious, air-conditioned bedrooms are named after famous Marrakech gardens – Majorelle, Menara and Koutoubia – and have been simply yet stylishly decorated with cool beige walls, offset by colourful glass windows, furnishings and wall-hangings. They are adjoined by bright en suite bathrooms with traditional polished tadelakt walls and pretty mosaics.
Majorelle
First-floor double bedroom overlooks the courtyard - with crisp Egyptian cotton sheets, air-conditioning and heating.
The en suite bathroom is equipped with bath/shower, a double washbasin, bidet & wc.
Menara
First-floor double bedroom overlooks the courtyard - with crisp Egyptian cotton sheets, air-conditioning and heating. This room has windows on both sides, so it is particularly bright and airy. The en suite bathroom is equipped with walk-in shower, washbasin & wc.
Both Majorelle and Menara can be made up as twin-bedded rooms, and Menara also has a full length sofa, suitable for use as a bed for a 3rd adult or child.
Koutoubia
Ground-floor double bedroom - opens onto the interior courtyard – crisp Egyptian cotton sheets, air-conditioning and heating, all for your greater comfort. The en suite bathroom is equipped with shower, washbasin & wc (shown at the top of page).
Lounge & dining room
Our elegant ground-floor salon looks out onto the courtyard and has been tastefully decorated in contemporary style, with cool tadelakt walls, comfy sofas, cedar wood tables and chairs, all complemented by colourful cushions, rugs, original prints and brass lamps. On cooler evenings, you can choose to dine here or curl up in front of the open-fire and enjoy the home comforts of our satellite TV, DVD and CD player. And for those who cannot be parted from their laptop, there is internet connection and wifi.
Kitchen
You have the use of our kitchen during your stay, which is well-equipped with a fridge-freezer, cooker, toaster, kettle and microwave. There is also a washing machine and dryer for your use in the utility room on the roof terrace.
